UK licensed sportsbetting site 666Bet has announced that it is broke and needs to raise additional money to pay out the money that it owes to its customers.
The site had previously said that it kept player funds in segregated accounts, but it appears that is not the case as the UK Gambling Commission has had to issue the statement noting the lack of money.
The advisory by the UK Gambling Commission notes that they have been “...informed by [666Bet's Alderney-registered parent] Metro Play’s chairman and major shareholder that he plans to make additional funds available to enable payments to customers.”
The regulator has assured players that they will be contacted and offered a method in which to receive their funds.
Players are encouraged to visit the 666Bet website this week to grab that email address, and contact MetroPlay if they are owed money.
