Playtech shareholder and billionaire Teddy Sagi has reportedly purchased currency trading platform AvaTrade for a whopping $100 million.
The deal hasn't been confirmed, but is being widely reported by both the Reuters news agency as well as various Israeli business publications. The investment wouldn't be the first of its kind for Sagi, who also owns Safecap Investments Limited, a Forex trading group. He also has a stake in SafeCharge International, an online payment company.
It is thought that Sagi has a net worth of $3.5 billion, and the investor is the founder of Playtech where he still holds 33% equity in the group.
