Over the weekend Malaysian police carried out another gambling raid, taking 35 people into custody after raiding 12 locations.
The raid went down in Sibu in the Sarawak province by the Gambling and Gangsterism Special Task Force, which saw 22 gamblers and 13 staff members taken into custody. Other evidence was also confiscated, including 167 computers.
Malaysia has undertaken a large role in fighting illegal gambling, initiating dozens of raids this year and arresting hundreds in their raids.
