The UK Gambling Commission has announced that it has granted gaming licenses to major betting firms Betsson, Net Entertainment, and Core Gaming, allowing them to remain in the lucrative British gambling market.
Betsson has been granted an operating license in the country, meaning that it can offer betting services to UK players through its Betsson, Betsafe, and Mr Smith casinos. Betsson wanted to be able to remain in the UK market, as they feel the licensing system there is sustainable and well thought out.
Net Entertainment had been offering services in the UK through a temporary license, and the company's CEO said, “This is a milestone for NetEnt and we are very pleased to have been approved for UK licenses by the UK Gambling Commission. Britain is the largest gaming market in Europe and is central for our growth strategy to expand on regulated markets."
Core Gaming is a British developer of games who has provided its exclusive games for desktop and mobile play to major operators such as Sky Vegas. The company is reportedly developing 20 new slots, table games, and instant win games that will be released this year.
