Morgan Stanley: Gambling Industry Worth $423 Billion

US financial publication Forbes has revealed that financial services group Morgan Stanley has estimated the revenues of land and online gambling throughout the world at $423 billion.

The report by Morgan Stanley shows that land casinos brought in $146 billion, while lotteries brought in $121 billion. Sportsbetting and race betting brought in $118 billion. Online gambling was responsible for $37 billion.

The United States has the largest land casino presence in the world, bringing in $67 billion, or 46% of the land casino revenues globally. Asia and Australia had $61 billion or 42% of revenues, while the rest of the world brought in $18 billion.
