BetSoft Drops UK License Application

This story was published more than 9 years ago.

Internet betting software developer BetSoft Gaming is reportedly dropping their bid for a UK gaming license, causing operators offering the games to pull the plug on the titles.

The revelation was first made by Plain Partners, who serves as the affiliate management group for casinos such as Vera&John. The company sent an email that Vera&John will no longer offer BetSoft games, as they have fallen out of compliance with the company abandoning their UK license attempt.

The email read:

"Dear Partners,

Unfortunately, we have been informed by Betsoft that they will not continue its application for a UKGC license at this time, therefore we turned all Betsoft games off for our UK site verajohn.co.uk until further notice.

Betsoft games will still be available on our other sites/countries where they have been present before.

Hopefully they will re-consider their application in Q3 and we will be able to turn their games back on.

Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused you."

No comment from BetSoft was available as of press time, but Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.
