WSOP Sees Traffic Boost

Caesars Interactive Entertainment's World Series of Poker website in New Jersey has seen a significant boost in player traffic due to a combined player pool agreement with 888Poker.

The traffic for WSOP is up nearly 50% in the last week, while 888Poker has also profited with a 75% boost. Poker monitor PokerScout has been tracking the traffic for the sites, and noted that the duo of WSOP and 888Poker has overcome Borgata and PartyPoker as the top poker sites in the Garden State.

Reporting on their site PokerScout wrote: "Cash game traffic is up nearly 50 percent since the merger, while 888poker has seen an increase of more than 75 percent. That’s been enough for both sites to overtake PartyPoker New Jersey to become the top two sites in the Garden State."

The numbers for online poker will likely spark an interesting debate as to whether or not states should allow for pooling of poker players.
