Police in Malaysia Destroy 786 Gambling Computers

Police in Malaysia have flexed their muscles by announcing that they have destroyed 786 computers that were used to facilitate illegal online gambling in the Penang district.

Police used a bulldozer to show off the spectacle, destroying the machines that were seized between 2010 and 2014. The police claim that the stunt was done to ensure that the computers do not reappear on the gambling market.

The owners of the computers were all convicted of the crimes, and courts had authorized on the destruction devices, and there are reportedly another 800 machines awaiting a court order to be destroyed in a similar fashion.
