PokerStars Vows Return to Spain for Casino Games

Internet poker site PokerStars has vowed to return its casino games to the Spanish gaming market a few days after it decided to pull the games due to what it called "a minor technical issue".

The company made the proclamation in an email to players, citing its pullout being due to technical issues, calling the situation temporary and noting that it is working to have the games come into compliance with Spanish gaming regulations.

Eric Hollreiser, the Communications Chief of PokerStars said that the games will be up and running in a matter of weeks, and also downplayed reports that the casino games were cannibalizing the firm's poker operations, noting that poker numbers remain strong and that the casino cross-sell had performed up to expectations.
