The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has revealed their December online gambling numbers, noting that revenues were up 22.8% from November.
The numbers revealed that online casinos brought in $10.7 million for the month, up significantly from last December when the industry had its first full month in operation. Poker revenues were up from the previous month, bringing in $2.06 million versus $1.87 million in November. Casino gaming revenues were up 26.5% to $8.68 million during the month, up 26.5% during the month.
The Borgata Resort/PartyPoker combination is leading the way for casinos in terms of revenue, as they hold 33.6% of the market share, while Caesars/888 is second with 24.5% share. The Tropicana resort has 21.6% of revenue, while Golden Nugget/Betfair was fourth with 20.3%.
When compared to last December, revenues were up 93%.
Since online gambling opened up in New Jersey, more than 506,172 accounts have been opened, with 84,362 active players.
