Atlantic City based casino Borgata and online betting firm PartyPoker have announced that they are working on correcting the system wide errors that are causing system instability and raising the ire of players.
The Borgata system has gone down repeatedly because of MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class) errors, causing errors to users who were trying to access the online poker site. The root cause for the issue has not been located, but the company did inform players that they are working on it.
Online poker site Online Poker Report claimed that the issue may be related to poor memory allocation on the Borgata and PartyPoker's part. In their report OPR claims, "Relative to other NJ-based poker products, Party / Borgata consumes a substantial amount of memory (more than double that of WSOP/888, and on par with programs such as Skype). This usage increases dramatically with each new table opened."
