Seven South Korean citizens have been arrested and are facing trial in Cambodia after they were caught operating an illegal online gambling ring.

Siem Reap Immigration Police Chief Chea Kimsan said that the South Korean citizens were arrested over the weekend, and were actually operating the betting operation when police entered the site. 25 computers and other evidence were confiscated as a result.

Commenting on the case Kimsan said, “We cooperated with the relevant authorities to arrest them while they were staying in the villa, and at the same time the online gambling website was displayed on their computer screens."
