This story was published more than 6 years ago.

A Distributed Denial of Service attack by a hacking group over the weekend interrupted a million dollar online poker tournament at America's Cardroom.

The tournament went down on Sunday after multiple disruptions that kept interrupting players throughout the day which America's Cardroom claimed was preventing them from offering a stable and fair experience.

The attack is similar to ones suffered recently by Svenska Spel, who has also had to cancel tournaments due to DDoS attacks.

The tournament has been re-scheduled for February 22nd, 2015.
