A hack attack on Las Vegas Sands earlier this year was reportedly retaliation for the casino's owner Sheldon Adelson encouraging a military strike on Iran, as hackers from that country conducted the attack.
The attacks took place in February, and knocked the Sands series of websites down for an entire week, compromising personal and financial data of visitor.
The attack was costly for Adelson, as his casino has had to spend more than $40 million in recovery and equipment costs to make up for the attack. The company hired investigators to look into the attack, who concluded that the attacks came from Iran.
Adelson had previously called for the United States to bomb Iran due to their threats against Israel and their pursuit of nuclear technology.
