Online betting site Svenska Spel's poker operation has been hit by its second DDoS attack in less than two weeks, causing the operator to temporarily shut down its poker site.
The attack occurred on November 13th, and caused the company to post an advisory on its website letting players know that poker operations were temporarily suspended. No information on the attacks themselves have been revealed by the company, but Svenska Spel Spokesman Johan Söderkvist did say:
"Svenska Spel has undergone several targeted denial of service attacks. Given the major disruptions caused by the attacks, it has been decided to temporarily shut down the poker room. Cancelled games will be refunded according to Svenska Spel's terms and conditions, and we have reported the attacks to the police."
