Internet poker operator PokerStars is reportedly planning to expand in Italy, offering casino games and sportsbetting products in the near future.
The revelation came from the Agimeg news agency, who had interviewed Marco Trucco about the company's plans. The casino games are set to be released imminently, while the sportsbook is currently in development.
Turucco is the new PokerStars Italian Manager, who replaced Barbara Beltrami. He has a history with online gaming, as he previously worked for Eurobet, CasinoItalia, and the Everest Group.
Other developments are also likely in the works for the burgeoning Italian market, although no additional details were given.
