Florida Debates Online Lotto Ticket Sales

This story was published more than 5 years ago.

Lawmakers in Florida have introduced a bill in the State Senate that would legalize online lottery sales in the Sunshine State.

The bill was introduced by Senator Gwen Margolis, and is dubbed SB120, and would allow online lottery ticket sales. The move is controversial, as many shop owners rely on players also buying other goods when they visit stores to purchase tickets.

Opponents also do not like the fact that players can purchase cards online, as they claim it alters perception on money, potentially creating problems going forward.

Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.
