Macau Casino Revenue Staggers for Fourth Straight Month

Macau casino revenues fell for the fourth straight month in September, seeing revenues fall 11.7% when compared to the same period in 2013.

The drop in revenue is being attributed to the economy as well as Beijing's anti-corruption campaign, which is seeing less affluent Chinese citizens visiting the former Portuguese colony.

Even though the results are in the red, the revenue brought in was higher than analyst expectations, with the island bringing in 25.6 billion Patacas ($3.21 billion USD).

It is expected that the National Day holiday will contribute well to October's results.
