Ladbrokes Leaves Norway, Hungary, and Switzerland

This story was published more than 9 years ago.

Retail and online betting firm Ladbrokes has announced that it will stop offering its betting services in Switzerland, Norway, and Hungary in order to comply with new UK regulatory laws.

The pullout will come into effect on November 1st, with player accounts already being closed and marketing efforts ceasing.

The choice to leave Norway comes a day after the country warned offshore operators to either obtain a license or stop offering their services, while Switzerland has also threatened tougher action against unlicensed firms.

Ladbrokes has announced that further pullouts will continue, as it makes strides to comply with the UK law.
