A man in Pune, India has been arrested for developing and selling online betting software to operators in the country.

Ekanksh Rajendradumar Jain was arrested by police this week for developing the software, which is illegal in India as the country does not permit betting within its borders. It is thought that Jain has sold his software to 12 bookies, who can then use it to facilitate illegal bets.

Police raided the developer's house and seized a computer, a cash counting machine, a hard drive, 27 cell phones, and 12 SIM cards.

Jail is currently out on bond and is awaiting trial.
