Earlier this week police in Chattanooga, Tennessee raided a Veterans of Foreign Wars post to break up an illegal gambling ring, citing 48 people in the process.
The raid went down at VFW Post 4848 with the police using a warrant as means of entry to the post. The warrant was issued to investigate illegal gambling, but the police refused comment on just what type of illegal gambling was suspected.
Upon entering the site police found a large amount of gambling paraphernalia, which was seized as evidence. 48 people were cited by police, and will be turning themselves into local authorities in the coming days to face illegal gambling charges.
