Former internet betting site BetButler has had its gaming license revoked by the UK Gambling Commission less than a month after the site went offline.
BetButler closed down earlier this month after it reportedly claimed it was approached by a third party betting business who wanted to acquire its player infrastructure, but no hard results have manifested themselves as of press time.
In announcing the revoking of BetButler's license the UK Gambling commission noted:
The Licensee is unsuitable to carry out its licensed activities in a manner which is consistent with the licensing objectives.
The Commission is not satisfied as to the competence of the Licensee.
The Commission is not satisfied as to the financial circumstances of the Licensee.
The Commission is of the view that one or more conditions of the license has been breached.
