Nevada Takes Step Toward Allowing Online Poker Networks

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has approved an initial application by 888 Holdings to bring an online poker network to the state of Nevada, pooling online poker games between different casinos.

The 888 powered poker network would work between various operators and feature higher player liquidity, as punters who previously signed up at other casinos could join in on the action. Any potential network could also work interstate, allowing players from New Jersey or Delaware to also partake in the virtual games.

Now that the Nevada Gaming Control Board has approved the software, it will head to the Nevada Gaming Commission, who is expected to render a decision before the end of the month.

Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.

there is one online poker site already it is from Station Casinos LTD more would be great as competition would arise .. online gambling is still illegal correct me if i am wrong but for the us nation it is if a state says other wise they can over rule that law so thus station casinos ultimate poker can operate . more would be good as sometimes it is a burden to go in the casinos with tourists .... to bad slots arent legal yet or look to even become legal as slots make up a major part of the casinos revenue
