Delaware's Slow Start Making it Difficult for Operators to Profit

The state of Delaware's slow start to online gambling is really putting the squeeze on gaming operators, as the state gets the chance to seize the first $3.75 million in revenue brought in by the activity.

Delaware's operators have seen zero income from the regulated online betting market, as the state has only brought in $318,000 in revenue on $1.2 million total revenue. Those numbers may be dire for the state, as actual performance for the year will fall well below the $5 million target initially set out.

The numbers don't look like they will improve much next year either, as online casino revenue is expected to total just $3.3 million, far less than the amount needed to be hit for casinos to get a take in the action.
