New Jersey Gambling Revenue To Reach $4.4 Billion By 2018

Despite a sluggish start to its online gambling market, the state of New Jersey will top $4.4 billion in total gambling revenue by 2018, this according to a report by H2 Gambling Capital.

H2 is predicting that the Garden State will achieve $370 million in online revenues within the next three years, with the amounts that players spent gambling online increasing to the high double digits. Land casino gamblers are expected to gamble $216 by 2018, which is actually less than the $313 spent last year.

Challenges to New Jersey's gambling market include competition from other states such as Pennsylvania and Delaware, as well as unlicensed offshore casino sites, which may steal revenues from licensed betting spots hosted in Atlantic City.
