Internet betting brand Bodog has announced that it has extended its sponsorship deal with Scottish football club Ayr United, making the club a deal for the third straight year.
Ayr United was formed in 1910 and currently plays in the Scottish League One, which stands as Scotland's third tier of football.
Commenting on the deal Bodog Founder Calvin Ayre said, "Its not easy being an Ayr United fan but, equally, its never boring and there's nothing worse than boring. It could be the Hendricks talking, but I feel a big year ahead for The Honest Men. As they say on the West Coast: 'Mon Super Ayr!"
Ayr United Commercial manager Graeme Miller also commented on the deal, noting: "It’s great to have a consistent sponsor behind the club and one that is born out of passion rather than purely financial considerations. With Rangers back into the Championship the League is wide open this year and I can see no reason why a strong promotion push cannot be achieved."
