TwoPlusTwo Poker Site Prevails In Case Against Pro Player

A US Federal Appeals Court has ruled that a professional poker player infringed on the trademark of respected online poker site TwoPlusTwo.com, and will have to pay out a $60,000 judgement as a result.

Pro poker player Russell "Dutch" Boyd was found at fault in the case, wherein he registered the site TwoPlusTwoPoker.com, attempting to syphon traffic away from the legitimate TwoPlusTwo.com site.

The judgement against Boyd is steep, with the original claim of $25,000 being appended by the Judge to include an extra $33,985 in charges.

The ruling is the same as what the US District Court had previously ruled.
