This story was published more than 6 years ago.

Internet betting firm Unibet has announced that it is leaving the Russian gambling market, following Betclic out of the area.

Operators are beginning to leave Russia after law enforcement officials began issuing threats and blacklisting operators within their borders.

New player registrations from Russia are not being accepted, although the company announced that existing Russian players will continue to be serviced. Players in other countries bordering Russia are not affected by the pull-out.
