Poker Pro Forgets To Show Up At Big Name Poker Tournament

This story was published more than 8 years ago.

An embarrassing bout of forgetfulness cost a poker pro his chance at $1.3 million last week, as he forget to show up to a tournament in which he won a $15,000 buy-in.

Professional player David Rheem apparently did not know he scored the big buy-in last year when he beat 146 other contestants at last year's event.

Rheem took to Twitter to say that he would be unable to attend last week's WPT Championships at the Borgata in Atlantic City. When a former player explained that he should have a freeroll at the tournament, Rheem replied by tweeting: "What freeroll?"

Undoubtedly Rheem is kicking himself for missing out on such a huge opportunity. Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.
