UK Betting Bill Gets House of Lords Final Approval

The UK House of Lords gave their final approval to the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Bill, fixing up some small issues that the bill had.

The bill had an amendment to it that allowed a horse racing levy to apply to offshore bookmakers, as well as debate on the issue of gambling advertising offshore. The advertising matter was set to have an additional review, during which time and changes can be suggested.

The bill will now head to back to the House of Commons, which passed the bill earlier, as the politicians will debate the changes made in the House of Lords.
