Online gambling players in Belgium may want to watch their action, as a report by a law firm claims that the Belgian Gambling Commission may begin penalized players who visit illegal betting sites.

The paper, which was published by the DLA Piper law firm made the assertion that they believe action against punters is set to commence. Players caught gambling on unlicensed sites face up to 3 years in prison and €150,000 in fines.

The paper quotes Belgian Gambling Commission Spokesperson Marjolein De Paepe, who said: "After four years we expect that they should know what is legal and what is not. Therefore we will also tackle them."

Casino Listings will keep up on this story and will update it to keep Belgian punters warned.
