A New Jersey man became a new millionaire after he won Borgata's initial big money tournament "New Jersey's Next Poker Millionaire".

The winner was Myroslaw Woroch from Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. He ended up taking down Steven Edwards in the heads up section of the tournament with a straight draw. The drop off from first to second place was quite big, with Woroch taking in $1 million and Edwards receiving $25,000 for his second place finish.

The win is life changing for Woroch, who has never won more than $7,000 while playing poker before. He made his way to the win by getting through the tournament's semi-final on December 19th and then got through the next round by defeating 2,177 players to make it to the tournament's final table.

Speaking about his big win Woroch said, "It was truly a surreal experience when I knew that I had him beat. When that final card came out my emotions were just running wild."

Borgata Director of Poker Operations Vince Alonge added: "New Jersey's Next Poker Millionaire signifies a historic event in the evolution of internet gaming."
