A series of websites owned by Sheldon Adelson's Las Vegas Sands Corporation remained down as of Friday morning, after hackers took control of the sites and blasted Adelson's views on the Middle East.
While there is general concern about the hackers overtaking the sites, there was concern that customer credit card data was breached. It turned out the info had not been stolen, but that officials are still working to secure the entire site.
A.G. Burnett, the Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board said that his group and the FBI are continuing to investigate the hacking, but gave no timeframe for the sites to return to an operational status.
Corporate email is reportedly still down as a result of the attack, and many Sands employees cannot log into their computers.
Sands officials refused to comment on the attack as of the time of this article's publication.
