The state of Delaware's Lottery Divison released its latest online gambling stats this week, revealing that the online betting industry continues to struggle in the Diamond State.
According to the Delaware State Lottery, online gambling brought in just $145,276 in January. This number represents a growth rate of 3.7% over the month of December, but pales in comparison to the 57% growth seen from November to December.
Internet poker brought in the most money for the state netting 60% of the revenues, but brought in just $88,390 in Net Gross Revenues.
The numbers are even worse when you compare the results to New Jersey, who reported $9.5 million in online gambling revenues last month.
Player liquidity appears to be a major issue for Delaware, as the state hosts a total population of just under a million people. This could be remedied by a potential deal with fellow states that offer online gambling, as it would bring more punters to the table.
