Betfair To Integrate Snapchat Into Marketing Efforts

UK betting group Betfair has announced that it will be integrating its betting services into the popular social media messaging app Snapchat, bringing odds on the Chelsea/Everton and Crystal Palace/Manchester United matches live this weekend.

The promotion will work like this: punters can follow Betfair's Official Snapchat profile. During the matches Betfair will push a message to punters offering enhanced doubles odds, allowing bets of up to £10 to be placed.

Snapchat is a social messaging service that allows users to see messages for only a few seconds before they are deleted.

Commenting on the new marking approach Betfair Brand Manager Mark Ody said, “Snapchat is a relatively new, yet rapidly growing social media platform, which I’m certain will play a huge role in the marketing mix of companies going forward. To be one of the first brands, and the first betting company, to make use of the platform is very exciting. It has huge potential for us as a business.”
