UK Online Gambling Reform Bill In House Of Lords Today

A key bill that would drastically alter the online gambling laws in the United Kingdom is facing an important step today, as it will be read in the House of Lords.

The bill, which would require internet based casino operators to hold UK licensing, resulting in higher taxes will be examined today. The bill currently sits in the committee stage, and will go through the report stage, third reading, and consideration of amendments before the bill becomes law with Royal Assent. The bill is expected to be implemented by the end of 2014.
