Poker Pro Sentenced In Manhattan Gambling Ring Case

A high stakes professional player was sentenced to five months in prison and forced to give up $2 million for helping organize and execute a high end betting ring that involved several high profile celebrities.

Edwin Ting was given the sentence by a Manhattan Federal Judge, making him the 25th person to plead guilty in the ring. All together the defendants have been forced to forfeit $65 million.

In his career, Ting has brought in more than $83,000 in recorded winnings, this according to multiple online poker player databases.
