Internet betting firm NordicBet has announced that it will be changing its policies in January 2014, by scaling back its betting services to punters located in the Scandinavian region consisting of Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Islands.

The announcement was made via email, in which the company advised: "You will able to withdraw your Poker, Casino & Bingo funds from your account at all times until the 02/02/2014 - If you have Poker funds, on the 30th of December these funds will transfer to your Sportbook account and your Poker account will be closed."

"You will be able to withdraw your Sportsbook funds 30 days after the last bet has been settled."

The notification went on to refer players to Betsson, whom the company says will allow punters from outside the Scandinavian region to play casino games, participate in online poker, and bet on sports.

The move is being made effective on January 2, 2014.
