More than 51,000 players have registered online betting accounts since internet gambling launched in New Jersey late last month, this according to the Associated Press.
14,000 accounts have been added since Thanksgiving, with the numbers showing an intense amount of interest among punters located in and around the Garden State.
The first financial update for New Jersey's online betting market will be published in January 2014, so we will not likely have any indication of true performance until then.
Currently six Atlantic City casinos are offering online betting services to people locate in New Jersey. These casinos include: the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa; the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort; Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino; the Tropicana Casino and Resort; Bally's Atlantic City and Caesars Atlantic City. The Golden Nugget delayed their launch in order to tweak some last minute issues, but is expected to go live this week.
