UK Online Betting Bill Passes Third Reading

A bill that would reform the UK's online gambling laws has passed through its third reading in the House of Commons on Tuesday, advancing to the House of Lords for consideration.

The bill, would amend the current gambling laws to require casino operators that offer betting services in the UK to obtain a gaming license from the UK Gambling Commission. Those operators would be subjected to paying a UK tax, which caused many in the industry to go offshore.

Casino Listings will update this story as more updates arise, as well as any fallout that arises from offshore operators.
