New Jersey residents living in border times may be left out of internet gambling when the state launches the service later this week, as geolocation firms are working to ensure out-of-staters can't get in on the action.
The reasoning for the gap in service is due to geolocation companies setting the boundaries slightly inside of the geographical border of new Jersey in order to help keep punters in New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware from being able to access their intrastate betting networks.
Players located in the "no-play" zones will be able to move outside the area in order to play or visit an alternate casino, as different betting spots are using different geolocation firms who each have their own borders.
