The Dutch Gaming Authority has announced that it will be tightening its reigns on the Holland Casino while trying to make sure that the group does not increase the risk of problem gambling in the country.
The Holland Casino Group has recently seen some financial problems, having recently been placed into a receivership with its bankers. The DGA is fearful that the group may try to push revenues too hard and would therefore put problem gamblers at risk.
The increased surveillance on the Holland Casino group of casinos will include many detailed reports, which the group is required to send in to the regulator, as well as unannounced inspections by the authorities.
The Dutch government is planning to legalize and regulate online gambling in its country, potentially bringing a boost in profits to the Holland Casino Group, which currently oversees fourteen land based casinos in country.
