Dutch Gaming Authority To Closely Work With Other European Countries

In a radio interview this week Dutch Gambling Authority Chairman Jan Suyver announced that his organization stands poised to work closely with several European countries in regard to fighting illegal internet gambling.

Speaking to BNR radio, Suyver said that the Dutch regulator is set to sign cooperation agreements with France, Denmark, and Belgium. An agreement with the UK s also forthcoming. The Chairman said that the goal is to create an alliance to combat illegal betting.

"The Gambling Authority will work closely with colleagues in other countries," Suyver said. "But we can only commence the real cooperation once the Dutch online law comes into force."
