Calvin Ayre Foundation To Help With Philippines Typhoon Aid

Bodog founder Calvin Ayre has announced that his charitable foundation is willing to match donations up to $1,000,000 to help with aid to the Philippines, which suffered a massive typhoon last week.

The Calvin Ayre Foundation will match all donations made by those involved in the iGaming industry, hoping to boost the amount of aid that the country's citizens will get. Currently, many Filipino residents are displaced due to the typhoon, with many waiting to be evacuated to new islands because the storm destroyed their towns.

Ayre himself has already pledged $200,000 personally to help with aid, and says that if donors email a copy of their donation receipt to [email protected], his foundation will match it "peso for peso, up to $1,000,000".

A statement released by the foundation regarding the matter read: "The Philippines has become home to so many online gambling companies who are capitalizing on the booming Asian gambling market. It's time to repay the generosity of the Filipino people by giving as much back to the country that has given us so much."
