Nevada Sees Its October Financials Drop By 2.6%

In total, the state brought in $954 million in winnings last month. The Las Vegas Strip contributed $551 million of that total, which was down 5% from October of 2012. Downtown Vegas brought in $47 million, down 3%.

The city of Reno saw its casinos drop by a more modest 1% (bringing in $43 million), while South Lake Tahoe had revenues drop by 23% to $12 million.

In all, the state actually brought in more money for the month of October, notching $61 million in tax revenue for the month.
