Chinese offshore gambling destination Macau has released its September 2013 financial information, noting that revenues jumped 21.4% when compared to the numbers of September 2013.
Revenues for the gambling mecca in September amounted to 28.96 billion patacas ($3.63 billion). Those numbers were huge, but still fell on the lower side of analyst estimates, who claimed the market would expand by 22-25%.
The results were booming despite a typhoon that hit the region during the month, and industry analysts are expecting October results to shatter all previous records. This is due in part to a week long national holiday to begin the month, which will bring in scores of visitors during the period.
