The kingpin in the Legends sportsbetting gambling ring case has plead guilty to charges of illegal online sportsbetting in US Federal Court this week.

Phillip Gurian, 52, admitted to his crimes after being charged as one of thirty six defendants who were arrested as part of the ring. Gurian was alleged to have been the distributor of money associating from the ring, which used Legends Sports' Panama based betting site as the method of conducting the bets.

It is thought that the ring generated up to $150,000 per day in sports bets.

Gurian is being held under house arrest until his sentencing, which will occur in February.
