Holland Casino Being Supervised Due To Poor Performance

Dutch land casino monopoly the Holland Casino Group is being supervised because of its poor performance and finances, a report in the Financieele Dagblad claimed this week.

The casino group is set to cut 150 jobs and currently has debts of €60 million, but are set to soar to at least €100 million. The group's troubles are due to fewer visitors at the group's 14 casinos in the Netherlands as well as less money being spent by those visitors.

The group has also seen its turnover fall by 30% over the last five years, during which time it cut 800 jobs from its casinos. It is currently unknown what steps may be taken to improve performance.
