Internet betting group HappyBet has announced that it has signed a sponsorship deal with German Football Club Bayer Leverkusen, taking up the spot that betting exchange Betfair forfeited earlier this year.
The deal is reportedly good for one year and cost HappyBet a six figure consideration. A part of the deal, HappyBet will receive pitch side exposure as well as other promotional opportunities. Additionally, HappyBet will provide betting services to Bayer Leverkusen, which plays in the German Bundesliga.
The club was looking for a sponsorship deal after betting giant BetFair gave up their sponsorship rights earlier this year. Betfair turned down the extra year option in their deal after spending two years as a Bayer Leverkusen sponsor.
