Casinos in Atlantic City continued to struggle in September, as it was reported that the twelve casinos within the city's borders brought in revenues that were almost 13% lower than the same month in 2012.
Key financial indicators for the month ending September 30th were:
Gross casino wins of $240.2 million for the 12 casinos located in Atlantic City. The number is down 12.9% compared to the same period last year.
Table games brought in $62.9 million, down 19% from September 2012.
Slot machines generated wins of $177.3 million, down 10.6% from last year.
Eleven of the twelve Atlantic City casinos posted revenue decreases, with the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel being the only site to post positive results, as the $12.3 million they brought in is up almost 4% from September 2012.
For the year, Atlantic City revenues are down 9.3%, as the casino has won $2.2 billion.
It is thought that online gambling will bring a big boost to the casinos' revenue, as it will open the entire state to gambling. Internet gambling is set to launch on November 26th.
